King Kong Wall Art

I finally found some new bedding I liked. My old chenille bedspread was my husband's before we got married... 8 years ago!! It was time for something new. I couldn't find art I liked for above the bed. Everything was just not right. So, I went to the art supply store and bought a canvas! How liberating to have a HUGE painting area (instead of a teeny tiny nail!!) :) I found a picture of King Kong in a children's book It was just perfect! I tweaked it a smidge and changed the colors. I'm really liking the way this looks. I giggle every time I see it. It is acrylic paint on an el cheapo 36 x36 canvas. Hope you get a giggle out of it too!

My Spidey Sense Is Tingling.

This was a quick design. So, don't look too close! I used Bloody Mary's Scarlet Sacrifice red for the background. This is such a great red! The black is color club striper in black. Spider-man's eyes are OPI Alpine White. I think I should have done the spiderwebs white on my other fingers... Hmm... In the first pic, I'm trying to shoot webs. Notice the blue skies and palm trees? I love Southern California. Except for the traffic.... and the cost of living.... and the smog....

I used the new exclusive Damone Roberts Opi. I had to call his Beverly Hills salon to get this color. It is supposed to be available on his Amazon store front. I don't see it there yet.
