Super Cool Vintage Nail POLISH Experiment

This is truly nail polish. They are tiny little tins with a waxy polish in it. I can see how nail polish got it's name. :) I decided to be brave and try to 'polish' my nails! I used my finger (there were finger marks in it already) and rubbed it on my nail. Let's just say that nail polish is way less fun than nail lacquer. It would be great to use for buffing out your nails. I'm thinking that it was meant to be used with one of those chamois buffers. I'm sure it was also creamier and less streaky 60+ years ago! When I wiped it off my nails felt moisturized and had a nice sheen. What a fun experiment! I have a new appreciation for our current evolution of nail polish.
